Our Story
Building confidence, creativity, and community through dance
About Elevé Academy of Dance
Elevé Academy of Dance was established in 2024 at Bryncynon Community Centre by professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer Ellie Jones. Elevé Academy of Dance is built on a strong sense of community, where children can build confidence, creativity, and self-esteem while receiving professional and tailored dance education.
We are a small school where every child truly matters. The academy follows the syllabuses of ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) and Acrobatic Arts. Dancers are encouraged to take examinations, and we are proud to hold a 100% pass rate. Our dancers also have opportunities to compete in local and international competitions and to perform in our annual dance show every March. Every child has a chance to shine, with so many exciting opportunities available.
Examinations Offered
Ballet, Modern, Tap, and Acrobatics
Beyond the Studio
Children also have the opportunity to take part in show dances, including lyrical, contemporary, song and dance, and character work. These performance opportunities help dancers develop stage presence, confidence, and an appreciation for different dance genres.
Our annual dance show in March is a highlight of the year, where all students have the opportunity to perform on stage and showcase what they have learned. It's a celebration of hard work, dedication, and the incredible progress our dancers make throughout the year.
Our Values
Community
We believe dance brings people together. Our academy is a place where lasting friendships are formed and families become part of our dance family.
Excellence
While we maintain high standards of teaching, we always prioritize enjoyment and love for dance above all else.
Individuality
Every dancer is unique. We tailor our approach to bring out the best in each individual, helping them grow as performers and as people.
